Install and use React Developer Tools to inspect components and state in the browser.

React Developer Tools is a browser extension for debugging React apps.

Installation

Install from the Chrome Web Store or Firefox Add-ons. Once installed, you will see two new tabs in DevTools: Components and Profiler.

Components Tab

  • View the component tree hierarchy
  • Inspect props and state for each component
  • Edit state values in real-time
  • See which component rendered each DOM element
